I sign my self up for the Herman Brood Academie (which is a school for EDM Producers to become artists) and I got declined after 5 years of learning myself techniques like the hardstyle kick and synths etc. (13 hours a day I was creating music)

Had a break from creating music and learning for couple of months now but my motivation to become the best producer and most emotional melody creator is just gone.
Thinking about selling my shit.
Never felt this bad in my whole life.

Are the requirements that high? I thought schools are meant for learning, not for having to know it all before you enter.. really sucks dude, but seriously don't sell your studio stuff, prove them wrong, I totally understand how you feel right now tho.

Apparently, yes the requirements are really really high.
It's really weird what happened but I guess I need to accept this loss and try next year.

They said the following:

Your entry is rated on the following: Skills, Creativity and Profile.
Skills is the level of techniques you already have and the possibilities of becoming a professional.
Creativity is the level of being creative.
And profile is your background story.
We have looked at your profile and documents and this is your score.
Skills 0, Creativity 0, Profile 10.

After 2 days I got another email in which they putted explained what ''0 score'' meant.
10 is good and 0 is not enough.

But it doesn't make ANY sense at all, really.
I'm really far when it comes to sound design itself.
So I asked the reason behind the insufficient ''skill''
No answer yet.

I'm not giving up. Never.

The same question is running through my head everyday. Everyone around me friends, family and people I work with are shocked and cannot understand the conclusion from them.

I am a guy who is ambitious and a perfectionist so I was like wuuuuuut o_O

Thanks Emre.
I think I just need to start to grow a fan base and release some work here and there.

And like we dutch guys say: Vallen en opstaan.
