Well right after that I realized that this was basically the stupidest thing I could say, and most propably I will never be able to talk to them again...feel ashamed to this day

yeah, but I think they hear this all the time, at the end it's their decision what to play, and well, I said it afterwards so it didn't matter at all... there was a discussion about it here some time ago, and I can imagine that people think it's annoying

I think it's dumb to request a track from a DJ. If it's an exclusive track, I'd say it's okay, but in this case it's not even the same style. Anyway, we all do dumb things, and I'm sure they don't even remember you.
