Little Hardstyle release facts and gossips topic

Post by DjVero »

Gommes_ wrote: 28 May 2023, 15:12 Cause it's a gossip topic and this practice of Q-Dance is kinda new. They never did anything like that before and the backlash is pretty huge among all platforms - Youtube, Instagram, Reddit etc. So, the point is to vent about certain behaviours. Where should you do that if not here?

You act like everything is full of hate here, which it isn't. And I bet that the majority of us still adores and loves this genre to death and this is exactly the reason why we don't understand some developments within the scene. If you look at the responses to Frontliner's track for instance, you know what I mean. And no one with functioning ears can tell me that this is (good) music. This and other aspects raise the question what is going on right now.
I'm not on Youtube, Insta or Reddit, I'm on here. And here I still don't get why some users (the same users over and over) would post trash, trash and even longer trash in pretty much every release thread. Criticise every move made by Q. Downplaying people who like modern hardstyle. Ridiculing people who are on TikTok in general. Why not focus on things you do like instead :? That shouldn't be so hard. I don't like that new Frontliner track either, could join the bandwagon in that topic, but what's the point...

I know I'm playing devil's advocate all the time, but there's a handful of users who pretty much dictate the general (negative) consensus here. And sometimes that's just too much for me, so I feel like I have to post some bullshit back to them. Even more so after a certain someone made certain allegations not so long ago. Yet I am the one who is asked to leave...

I'm one of them, and reason why is the exact reason what Gommes wrote. If you wanna know why, read it again above. And if you still don't understand why, then read it again.
The DJ spins a galaxy of black vinyl, for the gods that came to dance!

I did what you asked. Three times. Still don't get it.

almost as if this controversial move is done on purpose to make sure it reaches more people than it usually would... buuut Sefa is probably already popular enough that you shouldn't do such things, right? Right? :+

besides everything above said, it is a bit concerning to me that they don't tell anything about the concept (after reading related texts and the promo video) besides repeatedly saying how special it is so what should I, as a consumer base my decision on spending my money? simply the liking of Sefa? :? or did I miss anything important?

I watched the video before checking the reactions on this forum. I was a bit confused at the part where they got into the Sefa concert stuff but I have 0 interest in anything related to Sefa so didn't care much, but I see why some here are alarmed by the (possible) trend of microtransactions for stages/acts. I think if they explained the concept better in the video and tried to anticipate the fears of many here (maybe by emphasizing this is a unique situation for whatever reasons and it won't be a standard practice going forward, etc.) it would have been received less poorly or caused so much alarm.

While Q's logic in their follow-up explanation isn't awful, from what I can understand I think this would have just been better as a standalone event outside the confines of the broader festival. But they'll test it out this year and see how it works I suppose.

Imo Q's logic makes zero sense. They claim they'll never charge extra for an area or set, while in the meantime they introduce the theater as a new area :fist:

Apparently there is a new Frontliner album coming up, called 'Echoes Of Euphoria' and it will be 'an album dedicated to the golden age of hardstyle'

I'd just say let's wait if he will actually deliver this time. Yeah, he did release the Alter Ego album, but
- 'Neon' album that he announced but never happened
- 'OMG' album that he announced but never happened
- the B-Frontliner album that they have been promising for like 5 years but but never happened
- the other 2/3 of the 'Kill The Quarantine' tunes he promised to release
So yeah, this sounds super interesting but I do have my trust issues with him :+

My thoughts too, imagine trusting Frontliner with an album release in 2023 lmao
