And "hardstyle" started because of influences of trance, hard house, techno and hardcore so because it had influences doesnt mean it wasnt hardstyle. That was the name given because it wasn't purely one of the other 4 I just listed

..and tbh a lot of"early" Hardstyle has too many trance influences to be considered Hardstyle imo. I don't even regard them as Hardstyle.
