Have fallen in love with frenchcore (L) (L) (L) proper hard kicks :fist:
Frenchcore is mostly dependent on its distinctive kicksound. It has what you may call an offbeat bass. It's usually uptempo and very monotone, not featuring melodies such as mainstream hardcore, but usually filled with effect-sounds and vocalcuts.
maybe I'm wrong but that sounds a lot like a description of industrial hardcore

No way :p Frenchcore (what i heavily dislike btw) is totally different to industrial hc. Just compare random industrial track to random frenchcore track on yt :)

Frenchcore would simply be described as early hardstyle on 200 BPM, and industrial rarely have an offbeat bassline...
I'm grumpier than you.

Do people even read these?

Industrial = loads of distortion and grinding percussion work. I often see, that many people mislabel the not-so-melodic banging mainstream like Negative A and others as Industrial as well. Same goes for calling Promo Industrial. Makes no sense at all. Though his Rude Awakening stuff is, on the other hand..
