Vertile - Where Legends Rise (Defqon.1 Anthem 2025)

Post by EddyWriter »

I do enjoy the melody in this, but it’s yet another Defqon anthem that will have to grow on me by June. Also would’ve liked variation in the second climax melody rather than the same and a more fleshed out mid-intro with unique kicks.

Overall feels like a standard Vertile tune, but we’ll see how I feel come Defqon this year :)
There's a high probability - but statistically speaking, there's always a chance for unlikely events to take place.

I thought there couldn't be any worse than the Frequencerz anthem in 2017 -> SZP releases an uninspired anthem in 2023.
When I thought nothing could get worse -> Vertile decides to release probably the most generic track ever.

There was one time where having the chance to make an anthem for a Q-Dance event meant the opportunity to consolidate as a producer (this is my humble opinion) and to step up the sound design, melody writing, etc, but I see now that nobody cares anymore. Even if last year's anthem wasn't one of the best, at least Sound Rush attempted to bring those Defqon.1 summer vibes, yet epic anthem.

I don't wanna sound like those old men saying that music back in the day was better, but it's like there aren't many producers wanting to highlight because of their own effort, but instead jump into the current hype train and release as many tracks as possible before the audience jumps into another trend. When I started listening Hardstyle in 2015, I loved how every producer had a different sound signature and how the genre (and its subgenres) were so different than the rest of EDM... (I'm yapping a lot sorry xD )

PD: idk if the anthem was that bad but this thread hasn't been moved to "Releases" yet :?

Maybe he doesn't care, or maybe he's just not good at music.
