I have to say i dont get all the fuzz around this. It's not bad at all, nice to listen to but all that ZOMG NEW DAFT PUNK HIDE YO WIVES HIDE YO KIDS all over the internet, well ...
On the other hand i for once hope this will have some influence on the mainstream EDM, looking at it from the perspective of its popularity, because although its not superawesome to me, it sounds how EDM should sound in my opinon. It has some soul and atmosphere and it's made also for the entertainment of the listener, each track has something special. Instead of the main focus aimed to a drop with 14 different sounds per 5 seconds and made just for the sake of getting as much people dancing to it and commenting on youtube about their neighbours and police as possible for 2-3 months and than forgetting about it. But than again i dont have very high hopes for this.
It brings back nice memories about how house music used to be, but that's it
