Can i ask something? Why is always Headhunterz the kinda ''God'' of hardstyle, yeah okay he made the first melody but come on. Lets look at the fact's

Defqon. 1 Anthem 2009 = Headhunterz
X-Qlusive 2010 = Headhunterz
Thrillogy 2011 = Headhunterz
Hardbass 2012 Anthem = Headhunterz
Defqon. 1 Anthem 2012 = Headhunterz...
And then he's the number 1 Hardstyle DJ in the world..

Its kinda boring if you ask me..
I really hope next year the anthem for 2012 is gonna be someone else like Frontliner.
And that someone else is #1 in the DJMAG for the genre Hardstyle.
Behind the curtain of everyday's consciousness..

Headhunterz made the first melody? DUDE NO.

HHz is basically Q's money cow, if they need money, they just set up an event with Willem and I bet my ass this is sold out in no time. (Just hope there will be another Qore edition this year :fist: )
And to the "god" term. HHz is Hardstyles frontman to the outside of the scene, if you like it or not he is the most famous and most known Hardstyle DJ outta there. :)

He definitely didnt invent the melody in hardstyle I just think he made the melody that we know of today. There were technically always melodies otherwise it would be one solid note. I wouldnt put my money on it that much cuz I didnt listen to hardstyle until 2008 but from what I read he put the emphasis on the melody (made it more melodic/happy and smooth).People could be like ok THIS is the melody of the track. I just remember people writing shit like how he ruined hardstyle with all the melodic-ness n shit and the structures of tracks.

I listened to some old tracks with melodies and they sound more like the mid-intros of today. So yea I dont think he invented the melody but he may have invented the melody we know of today maybe?

Correct me if im wrong cuz i dont know too much about early hardstyle but this is what Ive read

False. Dbstf were pushing this sound before hhz was and blutonium\neo were doing melodic stuff before i had ever heard of headhunterz.

DB&STF and Headhunterz arguably started pushing melodical Hardstyle at around the same point, since Headhunterz started around 2004 or 2005 when it was two people, the Antifact alias for Heady himself.
D-Block & S-Te-Fan's first release on Discogs was Fresh New Beat in 2005, which featured an Early Nu-style era melody. Meanwhile, with Headhunterz when he and Bobby were under the Nasty D-Tuners alias, they released Breaking Da Rules, which had a melody reminiscent of the same era DB&STF's first track according to Discogs. Fresh New Beat was released November 23, 2005. Breaking Da Rules was released over a month earlier on October 15. technically, Headhunterz was "first" with this melody thing, but was only a bit over a month before D-Block & S-Te-Fan's first release as well. It's up for argument, but I'd consider Headhunterz, with the help of Bobby, the first to start pioneering the melody hype before D-Block & S-Te-Fan.
