I feel it could use more tok and more brightness overall. The bass tail doesn't have many frequencies for long, but that's ok if that's what you wanted.

I agree that the bass of the kick could use some fatness I guess one might call it. Although it could be used as is in a track where the kick kind of takes the back seat in the mixdown.

The kick plays on its own at 1:23; ignore everything before that because it's a track very early in the making and I've already improved it quite a bit since I upoaded this lol

Liked the intro, and the screeches at the end are cool, the kick could do with a bit more ramping to the bass tail, only imo though. Just so it flings up quickly.

My kick is alot different to most i've listened to here, i've been using microtonic, layered twice with a whole range of effects. No side chain and no samples except for the voice and crash symbol.

Critical feedback please, im working entirely on kick synthesis at the moment, havent played much with pitching it for the leads yet but it does perform that way.

@ Jens
I like it!

I spent the last days with a 909 kick and im really surprised how many different sounds can be achieved with it. Its much fun to mess around with it!

And this is my result:

What do you think?

Polyzer layer it with a extra Dry punch and distort it more... sounds too simple and ugly atm , sounds like a smiple cliped 909 to me.

Damn that kick blows me away :O
Would love to be able to do something similar.

And thanks for your feedback but what do you mean by an "extra dry punch"?
