Peacock, B-Freqz, Phuture Noize were all amazing and night saving sets.I really liked Luna opening set as well, but wishes he would've played more old classics and less raw at the beginning of an event but the set was enjoyable. Bass Modulators set was pretty dope as well, better than expected. Surprise 'act' wished for any other and not already line-up based acts but hey, still better than Tweekacore, SR,Wildstylez. Coone was normal, but he did played Hurricane by Ran-D and it was fucking amazing to hear in GelreDome. made a shitty and small amateur aftermovie just a quickie if anyone wanna check it out and don't mind losing 2 minutes of their lives (

writing only now because after almost 2 days awake i'm working almost 12 hours and it was the worst monday of my life i try to be as short as possible.
stage:
very good and extended, lot of elements and at first moment it reminds me the 2013 stage's feeling mixed with the 2016 one. vote 8/10,.
my top 5 updated is|2012/2009/2016/2018/2013. stagewise.

the show:
good show indeed and good intro's but not as 2016 considering the new era 2013/2018.
nice animation,the gheisha speaking, the voice of qlimax similar to 2006/2008(both man and woman announcing the dj) the curtain, the amazing countdown as good as 2011 and the dress part good enough.
for the new era of qlimax i put 2018 in 2nd position after 2016.

music and sets:
all great sets, i really enjoyed every set..i don't have a winner, i also enjoyed tweekacore set besides the mixer clash and his happy hardcore kicks,they made a good combination of tracks and the lion king is really amazing even if it is disney at qlimax, but that moment when people sang togheter and dance togheter with phone lights was amazing.
but i have a big loser. the way of mixing. the most of sets were intro,drop,climax and close then cheesy drop,climax and close. i really miss the way of mixing till 2012..less tracks but well mixed, with intro outro and everything..putting that perfect drive to a set.
in my opinion this ruin the straight line and atmosphere of a set. but nowadays is all in this way.
also luna had to cut off quickly his tracks. i also don't like the kind of surprise when freq or subzero project joined the other djs just for promoting,and they were already in lineup. this kind of promotional things are going to be annoying like the youtube spots in every video. dbstf ok because not on the lineup like it was for deepack in 2013.
closing act, peacock did THE closing act that was missing frome years at qlimax.

Before this edition I never really liked Peacock or frenchcore music, but I actually really enjoyed most of the music he played, big ups to that!

I also very much agree with you to the topic of predicatble sets... I'd love if artists would prepare a little more special stuff again (more than "just" a new track / collab) for one of the most anticipated indoor events of the year...

All in all it was a great edition tho, good sound (finally again), good lightshow (they didn't really use the lasers that much tho, didn't they?), sets were mostly decent (I didn't like Tweekacore in the beginning and end, it was an ok-good set in the middle IMO) and I didn't really notice many problems all around.
Stage was nice, but somehow missing something in my opinion, can't really put it in words..

I think the problem with the stage was that it didn’t really relate to the theme. I didn’t understand what a geisha had to do with a game changer. It was a cool stage, I just think it was not consistent with the theme.

I will not write much about my experience of Qlimax 2018.
Apart from fat show, cool lasers and great sound, there were two highlights for me.
Sub Zero set. Live at Qlimax their futuristic and melodious sound is just awesome
Phuture Noize. No words Hero of the night (I forgot that I can jump so high)

This ³ had the time of my life with Phuture Noize.. that was one of the best front row experiences i ever had with that guy
