I can't move on, my awesome genre is dying. Can't we just label Rebelion and harder as 'Hardcore' as they're playing 165+ BPM anyways. Hardstyle stands for drive, energy obviously but it shouldn't be a battle of 'faster/harder'.propells wrote:I'm sorry you feel that way Emre. The atmosphere on xtra raw is not for everyone, but you should try to move on. HB is actually "perfectly" balanced right now with 4 hours (5 with isaac) euphoric/hs, which actually feels like a way to long warmup, until there's 4 hours rawphoric/raw where the crowd goes insane.
[04/02/2017] Hard Bass [NL]

It's not dying, it's developing. It may not be in a direction you like - same goes for me btw - but it can't stay this way forever. Look at euphoric, if something is dying it's the euphoric scene. It isn't going anywhere for a very long time already. If raw would still be the same, like euphoric, it would've been dying as well

Compare raw from now to 3 or 4 years ago. Clearly a lot different and harder, whereas Euphoric is still exactly the same.Twixel wrote:explain how raw isn't the same anymore plsDjVero wrote:It's not dying, it's developing. People said the same when hardstyle changing from the "early style" sounds or when it was going my little pony style around ~2009, yet here we are. When the majority of the scene was going "mainstream", a lot of people were super frustrated just like you. Then rawstyle came in and filled the void. The genre didn't die, it evolved to suit the demand. I understand that it sucks for you, when you aren't a fan of the current direction of hardstyle, but thats just how it is, and like Proppels said, the events are pretty balanced right now. HardBass was 50/50 and Qlimax only had 2 raw artists this year.Emre wrote:I can't move on, my awesome genre is dying. I get your point about the "faster/harder" battle though, and i agree with you on that. The amount of raw live acts popping up, yet bringing nothing new to the table, has exploded, but i honestly expect that bubble to burst within a year.
Tour of duty: Qlimax 06 - In Qontrol 07 - Qlimax 07 - DefQon 08 - Qlimax 08 - In Qontrol 09 - DefQon 09 - Q-base 09 - Qlimax 09 - In Qontrol 2010 - Dominator 2010 - Qlimax 2010 - Qlimax 2011 - Qlimax 2012 - Qlimax 2013 - Qlimax 2014 - Qlimax 2015
But he is not wrong.. i really love some RAW acts, i love all styles and i loved every festival i visited so far... BUTVOL-E wrote:same discussion, same people... each time the same.![]()
I have to agree with that "RAW soldier" point, this is no fun anymore. If u want to kickroll, get you some space and do whatever you want.. but stop acting like you were alone. It happened 2 times now my GF got punched by a kickroll idiot.
And why the fk so many of them are aggresive as hell? I never met such ignorant people on any hardcore stage on any festival and i can remember well the Q Base closing from Angerfist, when the only "Raw soldier" eat way too many pills and got dragged away by his friends.
Do whatever you want, really.. but stop acting like you are alone. Please!

I remember we had Monday Bar Cruise, with raw artist and a lot of people who loved it. And really, nobody of them was agressive, just nobody. Everyone came to have their best time, and just enjoyed the music. And I can tell you for sure, that there is nothing worse than drunk swedish guys

i see you with my x-ray
