Starcast , sound interesting , not a usual kick for sure, but for the concept you've put it in, it could be a nice track. Although there's some annoying freq around 700-1k and another peak higher (i think :) )
good job though :)
Also, i would make the tok hit harder :)

Ya know, this kick reminds me a lot of Lowroller's hardstyle attempt as Stargutz. You have that same strange analogy sounding midrange in it that makes it sound almost like a tek kick somehow. Personally not a fan of it, but a unique kick for sure. Needs more of a 'thump' with low-end in punch portion.

Starkast, your kick sound nice, love the predominant mid frequencies in it, but imo the punch could need a bit more work (I love hard hitting punches hehe). But nice kick you got there :)

Btw here's my latest kick I made, wanted to make a sort of soft kick with a lot of crunch in it, tell me what you think of it guys :)

@Kescore If I'm not mistaken you can do that in CamelPhat3

When you pitch your kick. Should the note in the melody that hits be the same as the key of the kick? Like when my kick pitches up it is in A key. So do I make sure the melody at that time is in A?

@ GamerZone - for the bassline of the melody, it should be pitch with the notes your kick hits. but for melody, it can be different. For example, if your kick hits A key, it's best fit with C#, E, G, and A itself for the melody. for the not D/#, F/#, G# i would not recomend tho as it not fits in my ears.
(i'm just making experiment and this by far the results i've recorded)

Hi everyone,

got a question about layering kicks, I make mine in tremor, EQ, Trash 2 Clip, EQ, Trash 2 Clip, EQ etc..

Although when I start layering I got so many unwanted sounds/frequencies which I don't know how to get rid off. Any suggestions or feedback?

Hi guys. Really nervous about posting here because I don't want to be judged on what is essentially a total experiment but Emre has given me the confidence to post.

I've got myself a copy of reason and i've literally just been messing about trying to make kicks and constantly trying to improve them.

I've come up with these and I know they are terrible but I just want help on the best ways to improve. I've been told about the re-wiring, something im going to look at but just want your help because i know there's a lot of experienced and talented people on here :)

i suggest you take a look at these and yeah, they may be long and sometimes even boring but trust me, you're going to learn a ton if you pay attention :D

also, take a kick you like from an existing track and analyze it in your DAW. it helps as well.
