The concept is awesome, it's like a story! :D
This can be the album of the year without doubt :)
It's weird that GHYL is in the album because it's a free release but I don't care, I love that track (L)

cool beans
Sadly due to general business and Conrad's personal situation (I mean this in the upmost respect, he's had a lot on his plate!) this never progressed more than just the day we had together. When things clear up, we'll have the chance to focus on this properly so it can be done properly :)

Some other collabs unfortunately didn't materialise either (Namely Da Tweekaz and Hard Driver). An album is a lot of work, much more than just sitting in the studio for a few months!

But... but where is "The Art of Noise" ? :(
I played it once, didn't like it any more and its sitting on my hard drive rotting in the 'rejected pile'. Its a very big pile. I don't find 'Art of Noise' to be that strong or interesting.
Jonas wrote:I am so looking forward to this. Buying the physical CD, but I really really hope it wont be mixed!
Sorry to disappoint but it actually will be mixed. This is an artist album, not just a collection of tracks. Its meant to be a sonic voyage into my mind for 75+ minutes and it has been constructed as such. DJ edits will be available of course, but not as part of 'AUDIOCEPTION'.

Will there be signed albums sam?
I will do my upmost to make this happen.

This is another track/remix I've done that will probably never see the light of day. I just don't really feel this remix any more. It sometimes comes out for special occasions but not very often.

Trust me bro, these are some of the heaviest kicks I've ever heard in my life. Each gets harder than the one before ;)

Mutate is definitely a track for curious minds.

Maybe we can expect it as a free release? That's one of my favorite track from you. _O_

Nah, this one has been condemned. I really honestly hand on my heart don't like this track. I don't stand by it and I don't believe in it.

I don't put out music that I don't believe in.

Awesome! Will stay on the lookout!

Was hoping for some BRK3 stuff on the album, but oh well.

On a side note, i think that the micromix is actually in the same track order as the CD.....

To give some more background information, I wanted to put together a proper album rather than a collection of standard tracks produced over the past 6+ months.

AUDIOCEPTION is an insight into my mind, exploring my influences and visions for hard dance music.

The goal was more than just to create a collection of current sounding hardstyle tracks. I want this to serve as an introduction for people who don't understand what the harder styles is about, or who/what Audiofreq is.

Almost every track is different from what comes before, and this has been arranged into chapters, exploring different facets and influences of harder music until we eventually leave hardstyle and then return again.

AUDIOCEPTION is a mixed album with the purpose of constructing a voyage, with various influences to bring new sounds in a way that most people wouldn't normally experience.

AUDIOCEPTION is about evolution, my own artistic evolution from my past as Orbit1, then to Bioweapon and BRK3, then finally to my final form (yeah, I said it) Audiofreq. This evolution is a reoccurring theme throughout the album. Hell you'll notice it as soon as you see the artwork! And its not just about my evolution either, but also the evolution of you the listener too as you experience this sonic voyage.

There's straight up hardstyle, raw style, some kick and bass stuff, vocal hands in the air moments, chip tune, and straight up drum and bass.

I wanted this album to stand out, to be unique, to be fresh while building on familiar concepts, but to be entirely me and I am very proud of this.

Not for the faint hearted and most certainly not for everybody.
