My mate from my old work would slaggin any dj from any genre who could not mix. "couldn't mix cement" is how he put it. Unfortunately I could never defend hardstyle as "couldn't mix cement" is exactly what 90 percent of djs in Hardstyle are like these days. Even the compilations like this year's Defqon for example are getting worse each year, cramming 24 tracks in an hour with absolutely no flow at all. To say the cd is mixed by warface yet it could be literally anyone since its not mixed well at all. I would rather a set with just 13 tracks in an hour but actual flow than just a hodge podge of 25 plus tracks.GianaWana wrote:Cyriax wrote:Stage could have been better indeed. Overall it was a good edition. Best sets of the night was Frequencerz & Phuture Noize.
What really is a huge let down in the last years and especially at this night is the mixing. I miss the days with proper intro& outro mixing. I mean nearly all tracks you only hear break & climax this kills so much energy it's really annoying. Some tracks are just mixed in for 40-50 seconds or so this is ridiculous
THIS! i told this at least 4 years ago..and i think that we have to do a poll for qdance..because you cant dance 20 second and then breaking..than mix quickly to another track because you havent time etc. this is really annoying and ruin the moment (especially with hardcore). i miss the qlimax set till 2011/2012. seriously we have to notice that. also this kind of thing put the audience to face the different feelings between listening a full track with headphones and dancing it with a fucking short mixing style

Very cool edition!
About the stage I think it was a cool one but there was something missing behind it
Absolutly great sets and cool new tracks

I was in the front didn't feel like it but oh well, I was probably too destroyed to realize anythingbassfaceBAM wrote:Listening to the live stream I thought the crowd were loving itShadder wrote:Btw, am I the only one who felt absolutely no response from the crowd to the G4H set ?

Just my opinion. And the first sentence is 90% true btw. It’s obvious that they choose artists from their inner circle every fucking year.Phil inFamous wrote:wow, i think this is the dumbest comment ever.propells wrote:Same artists and same tracks every fucking year. Maybe they should start letting those that actually have released shit the same year play.
PN was reeeally good, best set imo. Rest were avarege -> shit. Qlimax works really good for event virgins.
I think we all know the answer.. Explosions!

N-Vitral
Sub Zero Project
Da Tweekaz
You mean those?
.
PN, N vitral, SZP and Da tweekaz. All milked by Q dance at mainstages all year around. But its true, theyve never played qlimax before so thats one positive thing from them this time
Ceero, sometimes i wonder that myself. I guess i’m addicted. Had 6 first timers with me this time so that was cool tho. But hearing the same euphoric trax every year.. meh.

About the stage: the general idea was great. The pillars gave this mystic temple feeling, but the globe was lackluster imo
I was pleasantly surprised by some acts, except Tweekaz and WS, so it was a great night over all.

I thought for sure during wildstylez set they were going to illuminate something behind the ball. The stage was just so weird compared to last year and years before. I wonder if we'll ever get the full story. Lights were the best ever, but I felt like a cat and Q-Dance was trying to have me play with a ball of yarn.P.L.K wrote:Very cool edition!

Absolutly great sets and cool new tracks
after Wildstylez it got worse
i loved the "normal" part from NC&Atmozfears, but the raw part was bad
my 10th time at qlimax and it was the worse of them all, my opinion
if the next year will play more raw hardstyle than last night, it will be my last time there
