I would explain it as exactly what it's called; detune. The more detune you have on a synth, the more out of tune it sounds.

He didnt drive by himself, he was at EDC at that time. No one knows who drove it but I guess it were friends of him.

I've looked over the defqon 1 2012 sets and I have to say I'm disappointed. basically every third or fourth track is a random, soft, sing along track. yeah, I know hardstyle is getting more and more commercial but seriously... for instance Wildstylez. he's a good producer and he could produce proper music but nowadays he'd rather make boring, soft tracks. just like the 80% of hs producers nowadays. I do hope it's just because the festival season or something... I would be sad if they continued making shitty tracks like these.
