Spoiler
the photo of just the pallets of stuff and some bare metal was just posted a day or two ago compared to setup being well over a week in advance in the past, hoping it isn't a minimal stage this year given the small timeframe between Wednesday and Saturday (assuming Friday too for sound check).

the setup was never there one week before qlimax. they started one week before as always. Also we see only stuff on the side for the podests on this pic, so we dont know how done the stage was at this time.
I been to qlimax twice and hardbass twice, only been reverze once and I would say the sound was much better in the gelredome to reverze especially on the dance floor, hardbass seemed a little better than qlimax but was hard to tell, but the sound at reverze was badThisIsPili wrote:Guys I know my question has been already asked several times maybe but how is the sound at Qlimax (in the crowd)? I was at Reverze early this year and the sound was pretty bad at the mainstage most of the night so i hope Qlimax is on point haha

soundcheck? really?
Who needs a soundcheck if you have only DJs mostly, Im sure most of the time its lights/decoration check. Even if they pre-program, still need to check it

Yes this is what I meant, thanks for the clarification
Also with only a day or two to make sure every mechanical piece is in working order, everything is in sync, and ironing out any small issues, wouldn't it be a rush job? I don't know how they do the setup, I just always like to get anything done ahead of time so there's extra buffer time in case any issues arise.

It's pre-programmed at home/office with all the lights/movements ideas about how they gonna do it. I guess it takes time, maybe weeks/month before the party. So basically they setup everything, connect, put the usb inside the lightning console, load the show, and it should work. I bet 2-3 lightning consoles aswell, my bet is GrandMa consoles
But yea ofc they test everything. And still you can see sometimes its Murphy's Law during some shows.
Its a lot of work btw, really huge respect to the guys who create it, but still as synced lights/music Defqon 1 2013 closing ritual was the best. Everything is so perfectly synced there.
