That has to be the worst logic I've ever heard. just cause Hardstyle evolved into what it is now from Early Hardstyle means i have to like both? :? riiiight...... :\
With that logic you must like all EDM before the late 90's as Early Hardstyle evolved from that. no?

Not to mention my age means nothing in this matter.

It's an opinion guys, get over yourselves.
I never said you had to like it? You implied it was a pile of shit (which is funny because i believe you are listening to a pile of shit which branched off from it). Actually i do quite like some of the hard trance in the 90's before some guys started adding heavier basslines and screeches.
We could continue this argument, and eventually settle on the fact that we have a difference in opinion over 1 or 2 pages.
OR we could keep on topic lol.
Which is all my original comment was really doing, i wasn't directly trying to have a go at early hardstyle and it's fans (when i apparently have...my bad) I just meant to show that "Vicious" guy that people have different opinions. not start an Early Hardstyle / Current Hardstyle war.
There will always be a war between early & nu hardstyle ;), some people prefer the harder stuff, some prefer the melodic. I like and will always produce both, but none of the cheesy stuff :P

No it's not lol

@Diesal, mate if that "pile of shit" never existed then you wouldn't be listening to all this awful digital age pile of shit
He can call it a pile of shit if he pleases, just because that's where it started doesn't mean you have to like it. That's like saying I have to respect the very first musical sound because without it, I wouldn't have music. The logic I applied is valid because the comment made in the first place was utter bullshit.

Nobody is taking your view of hardstyle into question, like what you want by all means, but you can't say that somebody can't soundly dislike something because of their age. If the reply disproved that he hadn't ever actually listened to any Early HS and just called it shit because he didn't like one track, I wouldn't have a word to say on the matter. But it didn't. For all you know, that 16 year old could have spent a while trying to discover some earlier stuff that he liked and just couldn't get into it.

My point being is don't instantly think someone doesn't know anything because of their age. I'm sure anyone on this forum hated that happening to them when they were younger, regardless of the situation in which it occurred.

I'm 27, been listening to hardstyle since 2003, and think a lot of older stuff is underproduced, boring shite. The same as a lot of current stuff is. Nothing to do with age, music taste is 100% individual so nobody should be slated for not liking something, even if what they dislike is your favourite thing on earth.

I can't stand the term early hardstyle anyway and the way people go on about it like it's another genre altogether drives me insane. Apparently stuff from 07-08 is early now i mean come on it's like 3 years ago, It's not like the genre has evolved that much.

hahahaha, then you' really have something wrong with your ears ;P I would die if f. ex Noisecontrollers would start to produce in their 2007/2008 style again instead of the Digital Age crap they roll out nowadays. And I am not calling it early (early to me is 2002-2005/6) btw :)
