I think it sounds cool.Emre wrote:I stand my word, that 2nd kick in Odyssey (from 50:40) is the worst fucking kick I've ever heard in 10-11 years of being addicted to this beautiful genre. It almost makes me angry, how can something like that sound good to veteran producer's ears..

Probably not the worst but it is quite bad, it sounds hollow and empty, almost like a jumpstyle kick.Emre wrote:I stand my word, that 2nd kick in Odyssey (from 50:40) is the worst fucking kick I've ever heard in 10-11 years of being addicted to this beautiful genre. So about the tracks in here :
How About Now : BEST TRACK EVER (jk but for real it's fucking GREAT and it made my day to know it might be released after all.
Eye Of The Storm : I hated it at first, I changed my mind, it's no masterpiece but it works to me and it's waaaaaay better than the piece of shit Frequencerz made for the NL edition and i actually like the track.
Here I Come : good track in HQ, blends both of their styles in a nice way.
All That We're Living For : Awesome and I disagree with the people saying it's an Atmo solo. I can hear Hardwell in the melody (not the synths but the melody itself, could see it in a progressive House track).
Spirit Of Hardstyle : masterpiece, there is not enough vocal chopping in Hardstyle. Maybe I say that as a Trap guy because there is a LOT of vocal chopping in Trap but I find it creative and making a melody and a climax out of vocal chopping was a unique idea and it works.
Embrace The Sea : best anthem of the year atm. Raw kicks actually work well with euphoric melodes imo, hope he does that more.
A Ghost Story : I don't really know Sound Rush much but this track is really nice.
The Future : same, nice one.
Fluxland : it's sure not the best track out there but it aims to be a bootleg party track and nails it.
BassMode : love it, great melodic one and better than Down To Earth to me.
Wherever You Are : don't know Solstice, found his SCTRX release good but nothing more but this one is really good.
Somewhere Out There : would have prefered a Hardstyle anticlimax but well it's already fucking great.
Burn (SZP Remix) : I would marry the SZP guys if i could tbh.
The Aftershock : well Phuture Noize. Masterpiece.
Odyssey : i get the idea of the track and the breakdown is damn good but the second anticlimax is dog shit with that failed kick.
Just Me : Pretty good one.
Zombie : don't really like it. The track as a hardstyle track is not bad or anything like that but i don't like the original at all so it sound cringy to me.
The Sky Is The Limit : good one but i can't help but being like "when do u make No Time To Sleep 2.0" ?" Solid one though ain't gonna lie.
CONCLUSION : episode was awesome. I love how HHZ is going back to the roots of the podcast, playing new tracks and going from pure soft hardstyle to rawer. He sure nailed his return back to Hardstyle.
