Actually if you really think about each theme it was always mystical / religious... even 2006 only that year they simply did "The Darkside" of it. QLimax always been the mystical/religous even whereas Hardbass was more Sci-fi oriented (exlucing Qlimax 2010 which was pretty sci-fi).
THe music at Qlimax has always been the most mainstream hardstyle (and related styles) available - which is perfectly natural for the largest and most hyped indoor event of a style
