Hello everyone! I see nice studios over here, i will post mine later
I got some questions about acoustics, i see people building panels . I know acoustics are important i did even hear a difference when i placed monitors on heavy stands.
I got window to my left, that's probably bad and i know that i need to cover opposite walls, did anyone have the same problem? i tried some window rolls, i heard difference but is that enough?
how to fix that do i need foam, or some other high end panels? thanks and regards!

Well, if you really want to cover up your windows with good material. I'd suggest you take very heavy curtains! It'll cost you, but the difference is amazing. Furthermore, if you want to use the rolls you talked about, that will probably only affect the high frequencies.. Think about 15kHz - 20kHz, which is not so effective for the rest of the frequency spectrum.KodeR wrote:Hello everyone! I see nice studios over here, i will post mine later

Foam is basically only good for the same high freqencies because it's porous. It won't do the trick if you really want to get better acoustics in your room. Now you can do 2 things. Buy over-expensive acoustical panels from a website (which of course are good, but expensive

Here's a very handy video about some acoustical treatment.

Thank you man appreciate for taking time. Yes i heard difference in high frequencies when using rolls and i also got some foam. I saw people using fiberglass before and i was like im not gonna play with that.
I see im gonna go for second option and do it myself, thanks for ideas and inspiration.
sick panels btw, do you have panels(cloud) also on your ceiling?

Well, rockwool is glaswol (dutch word for our fellow foreigners, don't know if that's the same thing?!KodeR wrote:Thank you man appreciate for taking time. Thanks for the compliment man! Really satisfied with my studio atm, but like I said, it's still not completely finished so my acoustics still have some flaws, but I will fix that within a couple of weeks/months.

And if you are planning to do everything on your own like you said, it's better to go for a bit of thicker rockwool than cheaper and thinner. This is because of the absorption through the thickness of the panels. I used 90 mm thick panels and that's basically a good thickness, but you can go even thicker if you'd like to. And use the Rockwool duo 433 series as they're recommended as one of the best for absorption!
