We need to know who is in charge of this remake, if its done by GrooveSt Games, then it will be hot garbage, if done by one of the main teams then we'll see how it turns out

So far I haven't seen any mention of who's handling it, but I have a feeling they want to avoid another GTA Trilogy debacle. Call it a hunch. (At the very least, I expect much stricter oversight by R*)

I wonder who would end up taking care of the remake. Considering R* has been working on a sequel for quite some time now, I wouldn't be surprised to see them handle the remake themselves.

Thats the problem, Rockstar owns like 30 teams, all focused on the cash cow that GTA is, same as Activision owning 50 teams all working on COD

When GTA Trilogy released i saw reports of Take Two execs dumping all remake plans (incl. Bully and RDR) because they think people hate remakes instead of cleary seeing that people hated their trashy ports called "remakes" lmfao

Now this is pure speculation on my part, but I highly doubt RDR1 will be a remake, but rather a remaster, based solely on the fact that it's slated for a release on the Switch, and the Switch's hardware wouldn't be able to handle a full remake of RDR in RDR2's engine, which would be the obvious choice for an engine to use since it's in-house.

It's still rumours, could be just all platforms selection if you are talking about that "Switch buttons" rumour. PS3/XBOX1 also there, doubt they will re-release on this consoles. The main stuff was some Rockstar announce in august, so crossing my fingers for some good news :)
i see you with my x-ray

[PS4 & Switch] Red Dead Redemption 1 is coming to PS4 and Nintendo Switch on the 17th of August.

Apparently the game is just a conversion port and will therefore only get a "new" release on those 2 consoles. There's no mention of PC or Xbox but in the latters case, it might be due to the backwards compatibility of the X and S - PC is left out as of this time. (unless of course you count emulation)
The game will cost $49,99(!!!) and a physical release is set to arrive on the 13th of October.

Not even the bare minimum for the price of a full game and not even for PS5 _O_
Bet is gonna be locked at 30fps, best way to play is to emulate and unlock framerate and resolution of the switch port
And this :+
