Okey so trying to post here now.. about this wildstylez lead which is kind of bending (not portamento and not pitch modulation as far as I know):

I'm trying to remake this wildstylez hardstyle lead which I hear alot:

@ 1.00

and this:

the lead is in the beginning here. If you listen closely it has a special feel and character to it.

What can you guys hear in this lead? it has a special kind of feeling to the sound.

I know that it's saws, but it doesn't sound as straight as out of the box. I've tried with portamento on Neutral & slide, pitch modulation using LFO's, but I dont achieve the same type of sound.

Also, any tips and tricks on how to process this type of sound? I would very much appreciate the knowledge.

What I've tried so far: portamento (both slide and neutral, and even putting a note that is one octave down or a note which is just one wholetone down which is in the scale), pitch modulation via LFO, nothing have worked to achieve the same type of effect.

And oh, I'm not looking for that pitch bending "tapestop" effect - I'm looking for the lead itself which seems to be having some weird pitchbending on it. Seems like a pitch shifter modulation or something, but I've tried this too, I just can't seem to get it right!!

Need all tips I can get, since I've tried a whole bunch of solutions and put hours into this. I really want to achieve this sound.

Thanks!

It`s simple . use a saw osc and a square osc detune it for that screechy sound. then put some pitchmodulation on it.
Then the fx.
Proberly a heavy filter distortion´camelphat´ and use the bandpass Fatt.
Then you play with the res, what you like the most than go over to the cutoff knob. play with it and you get that screamy like sound. then some phaser and chorus reverb maybe some delay and what i like to use is a vibrato.
that gives it a very nice sound to it.

That´s all i know xD
Good luck!! post your result, i hope i helped you!!

It's easy to do with the virus, here Walt Jenssen from Showtek shows how I think:
