Yeah I saw that, but also read that most people think it's supposed to be a remaster for PS5 only. We'll see.
I'd love to play it since I never have, but I'm not buying a console just to play that.

Maybe if you wrote some music you wouldn't need 6 kick drums!

Overwatch 2 is coming to Steam on the 10th of August.
https://news.blizzard.com/en-us/blizzar ... -august-10
It will run directly through Steam, as confirmed by the President of Blizzard, Mike Ybarra.
This will (probably) be the first of many Blizzard (and the remaining Activision) games to make the move over to Steam over the course of a few years.
I'm not sure if they'll kill off Battlenet entirely, due to how engrained it is in a title like World of Warcraft, but I expect it to be their main platform, going forward.
Edit: correcting myself. The post used to include this part: "And no, you don't need a Battlenet account to play it after the launch" but you seemingly still need to sign in, according to Steam itself "Requires 3rd-Party Account: Battle.net Account".

Further fuel for the Red Dead Redemption remaster/remake -fire in that Rockkstar earlier today updated their site with a new logo for RDR under the following name: "Red Dead Redemption (Rockstar Presents Ver)"
The codename for that version is as follows:
- RDR1RSP
Source:
Screenshot in case tweet gets taken down:
In other news, Lords of the Fallen released an Extended Gameplay video today too, and I have to say it's lookin' mighty interesting.

We need to know who is in charge of this remake, if its done by GrooveSt Games, then it will be hot garbage, if done by one of the main teams then we'll see how it turns out

So far I haven't seen any mention of who's handling it, but I have a feeling they want to avoid another GTA Trilogy debacle. Call it a hunch. (At the very least, I expect much stricter oversight by R*)Shodan wrote: 28 Jul 2023, 01:02We need to know who is in charge of this remake, if its done by GrooveSt Games, then it will be hot garbage, if done by one of the main teams then we'll see how it turns out

Thats the problem, Rockstar owns like 30 teams, all focused on the cash cow that GTA is, same as Activision owning 50 teams all working on CODfhughes wrote: 28 Jul 2023, 09:43 I wonder who would end up taking care of the remake. Considering R* has been working on a sequel for quite some time now, I wouldn't be surprised to see them handle the remake themselves.
When GTA Trilogy released i saw reports of Take Two execs dumping all remake plans (incl. Bully and RDR) because they think people hate remakes instead of cleary seeing that people hated their trashy ports called "remakes" lmfao

Now this is pure speculation on my part, but I highly doubt RDR1 will be a remake, but rather a remaster, based solely on the fact that it's slated for a release on the Switch, and the Switch's hardware wouldn't be able to handle a full remake of RDR in RDR2's engine, which would be the obvious choice for an engine to use since it's in-house.
