Clearly you didn't understand the point at all. Not gonna bother explaining, because you're only reading what you want to read and pick 1 thing out of the whole story.

Yet it bothers you just enough to write down 30 words (not counting the 2 abbreviations) that say nothing at all as well....

I'm French and I do agree
Care to explain? Apparently there has been some shitstorm about french people on decibel on reddit yesterday (been deleted by now). Not wanting to argue or anything, just genuinely curious
Please note that I mostly don't have bad experiences as I tend to go solo to events and avoid other Frenchies.

Generally the French are quite obnoxious and tend to think they're at home everywhere (but not in the good way). This also applies to general tourism. They tend to feel pretty entitled, will try to speak French everywhere, obnoxiously sing the national anthem & such, and as Emre said the French public tend to be annoying in campings, blasting Uptempo (which is super popular here) till dawn.

Also I know drugs are pretty much part of the rave life and I'm pretty open to it but French drug culture is pretty careless too.

Not to mention there is a non negligible proportion of neonazis & extreme right people within the French hard scene.
Germans tend to play Ballermann music (Mallorca-Schlager) on campsites. I guess every nation has it's flaws

One thing I've noticed was the heavy amount of (open) drug abuse at Decibel. Yeah I get it, it was always like that but I've never saw that many people using or already being high on drugs.

Yeah, the camping was the walking dead  many people crawling on the floor on keta, people too fucked up to find their tents, this wasn't an edition of drug use but drug abuse :+

Saw people being out of their minds in the queue on Friday too

@emre you're the one who opened the French hate thread on Reddit I guess?

It's not the first time I hear that you Dutch people hate French people, I won't deny that some of "us" are idiots and don't behave well at festivals but stop making it a general thing.

There are idiots in every country, you just didn't have the chance to met the good French people (but you probably don't even try as you hate us).

I've been going to NL for more than 10 years, me or my friends never had any issues with Dutch or anyone else, and I even made some friends that I randomly met in the crowd (last one at Defqon this year).

So I'm very sorry you had bad experiences with French but please stop the hate.

Oh and about the uptempo at camping, it's definitely not a "French thing", everywhere you go you will here some.

I mean there is a middle ground between silence and having Dimitri K blasted next to you at 5AM :+

@Skape I'm not spreading french hate, I'm saying 9 out of 10 times someone is annoying at a festival, it's a French guy. It's the truth for many people. The topic got +55, it kept getting downvoted so hard yet the upvotes outnumbered it and 3 awards. You can't deny there's truth to it, even if I touched a sensitive subject.

Well if asking to ban French people is not spreading French hate I don't know what it is. And as I say I don't deny that some French are annoying but I can't accept to put all of us in the same bag.

Btw could you elaborate and give examples what kind of stuff they do that annoy you or Dutch in general? I'm just curious.
