Agreed.

Especially uptempo hardcore has my grip right now. It has become an addiction for me. :)

First time that I see this topic and I agree with the most of you, guys.
Hardstyle scene has become damn boring, especially in 2014. At the moment the only stuff that I continue to follow is from spoontech and from artist like delete, phrantic and phuture noize. Now I'm interested especially in crossbreed and industrial, but recently my interest for stuf from Dj Producer, Hellfish, Akira & co is increased, as it's increased also my interest in doomcore

Same with me, for me it's Drum & Bass and other genres killing my interest in HC ... but it's not only Mainstream HC I loose interest in, also that hard edged stuff. All in all I can say that I'm not sticked to one particular genre (or direction e.g. Hard stuff) anymore which is a good thing :)

same goes for me. it makes me even more openminded :)
but I can say that D&B influences make hardcore even more interesting. Have never really liked Mainstream Hardcore because it is just flat, too much distortion and not really what I consider hard (similar to raw hardstyle)
I just love Crossbreed but Uptempo HC as well as slower industrial catch me more and more. two of my absolute favourite tracks are TOA - Unmade World (200 bpm) and Deatchmachine - Our Introduction (To Technology) (~140 bpm) :)

also have to say that this thread is one of my favourites on the forum
description of TOA - Genosha 175 #10:
The Outside Agency is more powerful than a locomotive that is more powerful than two locomotives!

I Wanted to get some discussions going as the HC forum is quite dead. Seeing as I'm getting into it a lot more :)

Some Mindustries has also grabbed me. 'Walking into darkness/the arrival for the slower bpm! They are so techno/techstyle eh? :)

Not into mainstream much at all. Listened to quite a few albums lately and think only 2 or 3 tracks I liked.

Might be an exception, but getting know with IHC and crossbreed didn't really reduce my interest in hardstyle. I listen to less raw stuff maybe, because many of them lacks something I get in HC, like creativity or atmosphere. Actually, I'm listening to more genre than ever before :)

I select a lot of HC with gated kicks seeing as I don't get much of that in Hardstyle anymore ;)

Like this one? It has gated kicks, but sounds like faster hardtechno.
