Great idea ceero :)
noooo, thats a bad way to sort imo.

What if you have a lot of folders and so when you open up the main label folder and press F to get where all the F-labels are you get nowhere because all of them starts with [].

At the moment I sort it like this:
Main music folder\Label\Cat# - Artist - Title (Year)

But im starting to get a lot more single files, so i might change stuff.

THE HARDER STYLES :

* Albums : All the artists album (Coone, TNT, Second Identity , ..)
* CD Tracks : All the unreleased tracks available on compilations
* Compilations : Some CD's from the main Festival (Defqon , Qontinent , ..)
* HQ Rips : All the unreleased tracks ripped from livesets & youtube
* Livesets : Some official HQ livesets given by the Dj's
* EXTENDED : The best folder which contains all the track I buy/download.
Hardstyle (Early) // Hardstyle (Main) // Hardstyle (Second)

my awesome windows media player library does teh shit for me. invested pretty much time
but wait, i also have clean ordners :D genre->artist (or label for label-eps like theracords allstars etc. or remix releases and so on) -> release
so in the technoboy folder for e.g. are most of his aliases. i just put it there where i would search it first in such cases.
but ID3-taging for the media player library is the shitiest work EVER :D

ive sorted mine by Genre/Artist/"Releases"/"Song". Ex: Hardstyle/JDX/"Releases"/"Live The Moment". Do you guys think this is a bad way? Or should I actually put down the album it came off of (i.e. The Label Category)

I've just recently sorted mine into Music/Hardstyle/Label/[cat#] Artist - Title

every other genre is just stuck in random folders :+

It doesn't matter what other people think man. The only thing that matters is that you have it all organised in a way that you find easy to navigate/ looks neat / whatever you want from your music collection.\

Hardstyle is only one of many genres to listen to, so mine is simply organised 'Music/Genre/Sub-Genre/Release'.
I'm gonna clean it up a bit soon though and group releases by artist. It was okay when my collection was small, but it's huge now.

Quick question. How do you guys sort your music when it is a collab release? e.g. Code Black & Wasted Penguinz. Would you guys just place this particular release under "Code Black"?
