Ok guys thank you very much, but here another question.
What is the best way to be promoted? I know that fb and yt and sc is the social way, and the labels is the best way to promote your music, but how do you get to the right people? Is there a best way to conect with big people?

You need to get yourself out there any way possible. Be active on social media, be interactive with your fans, get your tracks featured on podcasts of big names in the scene, enter DJ contests etc etc.
If your fans talk about your music and big artists support your music it usually becomes easier. Usually artists who makes podcasts are easier to get to because they need material to fill their mixes and tend to use more unknown stuff then they do at one of their gigs.
I see your facebook page has only 124 likes so far which is quite low. Try to get more people to like your page. The fastest way to do this is with facebook advertisement, if you set it to the right target audience you get quality likes as well. Other ways you could do some research on social media posting. There is lots of information online that shows what works best on facebook, what time to post stuff, what kind of posts etc etc.

btw here's a tricky question that's been buggin me:
who decides what's marketable quality? is that opinion based? (opinion of label managers)

in my opinion, what's marketable is what's Generic. A label wants you to think inside the box a little bit so that others will hear the familiar sound and pick up on it.
Purpose, thou art the compass.
I reckon Youtube will get more followers, but each Soundcloud follower is worth like 10 youtube subscribers, I personally prefer Soundcloud, plays alot quicker, never has to buffer, no adverts and the follower engagement always seems more positive

that sounds pretty weird actuallySCH wrote:What's marketable is decided by the demand of the masses.

or, well maybe weird is not the right word. rather, demotivating. if you think about it, that sentence means that the crowd decides what should be out there, not the producer. for a dj (jukebox) that would make a bit of sense though
Fundamentally, SCH is correct - you get booked because the masses want to see you and the promoters respond accordingly.Shadow Interaction wrote:that sounds pretty weird actuallySCH wrote:What's marketable is decided by the demand of the masses.

But phrasing it that way is reducing a bit much. I
If you approach music with that mindset, you would be better off going for a bigger pie and aiming to be as commercial as you can (which is a perfectly legitimate goal mind you).
Perhaps I am lucky though, I have never EVER thought about how marketable I am/could be and have never left that affect my music. And Tbh, I really don't care about that stuff at all.
Ultimately, if you have good music that people like and share, you will gain fans and eventually bookings.
To the OP: make good music that people like first, worry about all that other crap later. Send the music to friends and your local DJs, let your profile grow organically.
