Okay, so I promised to listen to these mixes and that's what I did today. I listened to volume 1 and here's my (hopefully constructive) feedback.
I don't know how skilled you are and how long you have been mixing (house) for, but I have to say I wasn't that impressed, especially not with the first half of the mix. Although your mixing itself is pretty flawless, at the same time it was also quite boring to listen to. This is because it is just plain "drop - break - drop" mixing, which takes away a lot of the flow for me. It also makes it very predictable and standard, playing it safe. When I listen to sets from the "big" DJs it's full of vocal loops, mashups, useage of drops from different tracks, melodies from other tracks etc. etc.
The second part of volume 1, however, let's say from track 13 and on your mixing is a lot more surprising. For example when you mixed track 13 (move to the rhythm) out you didn't use the entire track or when you mixed Fifteen in is a nice example of what I mean as well.

Track selection is 50/50 for me as well. Again the first part wasn't really that interesting (although that's also because of the standard mixing), but the second part, especially the last ten tracks, were really cool.

Overall it's an alright mix, but that's because of the second half of volume 1. I'm not saying you should do that type of mixing with all tracks or all the time, but you could spice it up a little more with some more tricks and/or surprising mixing. Hope my feedback might help you a bit :)

i've been mixing electronic dance music the past 12 years mate. Im glad u added such a constructive feedback but comparing these mixes to festival mixes is kind of irrelevant. I mean, have u ever listened to "mixed" cds ? Mash ups, vocal drops work really good at festivals coz they combine lots of "hits" for the representing audience. When Im making such mixes I just mix my favorite tracks at the time so i can enjoy them when I drive (mostly) :p

Fair enough, but in that case I can just listen to my own mixes as well. When I listen to DJ sets I want to be enjoyed, surprised and I even want to learn something myself. Besides, when I put mixes online (I very rarely do so though) I want my listeners to be entertained the whole mix, I want them to be like "oh wow, I didn't expect that" or "I didn't see that drop coming" etc.
And yes, I have listened to "mixed" CDs, but they're very boring too because mostly it's just plain outro-intro mixing which just doesn't work for me. But good on you if it does work for you, like I said, your mixing itself is pretty flawless!
