Ill point out whats wrong here. Electro-house would be fantastic, if those kicks were distorted like hardstyle kicks. Its just so boring to hear that mildly distorted kick that slow. Everything here is awesome but that boring kick. Either do it crazy distorted with lots of movement, or do a regular house kick/bassline. Don't do a little bit of both halfway, sounds bad.

I agree with this. For hardstyle, it leaves room for more creativity other places. Too much emphasis is put on the kick nowadays in hardstyle, imo. While it is important it seems like people are spending days/weeks/months on a kick and not so much time on everything else. I'm just talking about this specific subgenre of house and tracks similar to this one.
