When you learn how everything works you'll get better and better at reproducing sounds, even from your head. I'd say keep practicing and learn how to translate sounds into musical terms. Like if you have the right timing(groove) and the right pitch(notes) you've already reproduced a lot of the melody

To be honest,a kick in the mind is different than a finished kick you can Imagine a melody but a kick is difficult to imagine.

I never said I have problems recreating a melody and a Lead from my mind, but with kicks, I guess knowing how they will sound at the end of the whole process can be very difficult, maybe some arists now, but even not all of the major Producers may know..just a guess.

I just used them as an example 'cause kicks are harder to reproduce but not impossible. Problem with kicks is that people use distortion plugins that do the work for them so that they don't have to learn how it works.

Try to draw some wave forms on a paper/notebook in a way you can remember it, and add notes to it, something like, "from here to there there's more distortion", "from there to here, there's a filter, and it evolves like that", etc... then later you could eventually be able to play your sound in your mind againjust by looking at your drawings, maybe...
Sounds like a good idea. Tough a bit complicated as a kick is quiet short and lots of things happen in the same moment, and I don´t know exactely how the waveform of specific kicks looks like.
But I´ll try to use this method next time.
