we love v-station by novation... it has a nice build in distortion...
but we also use virus and massive, but you can do the job with many plugins

Thats square with a little bit of LFO and Detune.
But the sound is nice though!
I mean its very nice for an intro.
But to call it a screech?

Topic question:
Sylenth1 can help you alot just to turn on the distorten/detune/ Pitch AB in the MOD ENV / Just make it Raw right there in sylenth 1. Everything must be a saw or what ever you like. I prefer Saw. But practice with some vst's and you will get there!

to lazy to read the hole topic so if nobody have said this allready then, NI MASSIVE is imo the greatest vst ever created
