If done right I feel like it can be amazing but I dont really like the examples in here, building up to something with an amazing melody just to make an anti and not have a climaxpart kills the track for me. I want something in the middle I guess :D Buildup with an amazing melody, an anti that then plays bits and pieces of the melody in it for it then to return to the melody and then have a melodic climax is to me the 2nd best (after just having a normal melodic climax)

Sorry but this is so exaggerated  name 1 track that consists of like a full minute of fakedrops and buildup with like 10 different tracks like in this Clyp?

Most of the times it's 1-2 fakedrops per track and the drop follows immediately after, there's 0 chance you've ever heard 46 seconds of fakedrops / buildup in 1 single track at an event.

of course I exaggerated,
but it felt like this...
those fake drops took over the raw scene.

you are waiting for 2 minutes till the drop comes --> fake drop --> everybody scream "OOOOOOOOOHHHH" --> drop comes for 20 seconds and 4 different kicks were played --> everybody scream "OOOOOHHHHH" --> you are waiting again...

i can dance for 20 seconds and wait for 2 minutes, imo this has nothing to do with dance music
thats why i listen to techno or early hardstyle nowadays

Sorry that we don't like tracks with a dozen kicks in a 15 second break before a half-assed melody that can't be followed up with anything besides another anti with the same kicks repeated, this time for 18 seconds.

Dont need to be sorry for an opinion. I just think it's funny for old fucks like us complaining about trends that are popular among youth. It's like a neverending cycle

We've been with this music for years. Some of us decades, some of us the larger part of our lives. Some of us got references to this music tattooed all over our bodies (i do), some of us spend literal thousands of euros on tickets, merch, records. Call me entitled, as you usually do, but i do believe we are still allowed have an opinion on this music and I dont think its less valid than one of someone who just discovered the genre and still is in a honeymoon phase with it. Even if we might not be the primary target group for it anymore. Especially when we share or thoughts in a place in the corner of the internet that's dedicated to us old farts who like to talk to each other. What's truly a neverending cycle is you assaulting people in those debates all the fucking time.

Even funnier, im assuming you felt assaulted with the terms Vero used when you are very despective/derogative when describing the younger generations and things you disagree with in general lmfao

i do agree every opinion has equal value, some more educated than others but valuable still

OT: the 10 fakedrops sound like a gimmick thing making fun of the same trend

It is not even a topic about a young Vs. an old audience. Musical wise hardstyle is pretty much done. There is nothing coherent in these tracks, no motive, no theme, no arrangements just plenty of 20 second clips tied together which only serve the purpose to be used in TikTok or instagram videos.

Hardstyle became a meme and the producers do everything it stays that way. From the majority of tracks you could cut out any sequence and put it in the next Raw track without the audience realizing it. That's how random it is. There is no unifying element in most of these tracks, nothing which qualifies it as music imo. It's a collection of fragmented scenes, which are just noisy and sound completely obnoxious.
