Awesome TL! Wish I could have been there. Seeing Illusions at the end is a surprise but a good one, great idea!

Decibel was great indeed but only because of some sets and my group of friends. Organisation wise it is a mess. How did this festival became so big in the first place? What idiot came up with the location or the general structure of the festival ground? It was way too crowded, stages are too far away from each other and the organisers apparently didn't pay attention to what is "in" right now and what not.

Why the hell does "Raw" take place in such a small area and other styles get much more room? These stages were always too crowded. I already mentioned the distance between the stages but it is such a crucial factor for me - Having one main way leading to all the areas is such a bad design! Plus, all areas are just on one side of the path?! They need to do it like Defqon or Intents where you have on main path and multiple smaller ones which lead to other places. Even though Defqon is bigger it felt like forever when going from the Hardcore stage to the Pussy Lounge. And that all boils down to the structure of the festival ground. The toilet situation and the prices of food and drinks are another story...

I'm literally out of words. I have no idea what the fuck I just witnessed. Element & Kruelty was the hardest set I ever witnessed. What. The. Fuck.

it is 7 years ago since I went but it was a good 20 mins from hardcore stages to loudness (raw stages). Indeed it is a really scattered layout.

glad it wasn't just me that thought the layout was no good - I went in 2016 and don't remember it being so congested/so little space anywhere - I'm sure there were stages in the woods and stuff when I went then, and I don't remember having to queue at any of the bars (maybe they have made the grounds smaller to accommodate camping idk)

but this year it took so long to get around as there was hardly any room on the main walkway, it was like elephants walking nose to tail with no room to pass, I basically missed n-vitral as it took around 45 mins to get from act of rage to the MainStage and the queues for the bars were fucked up - I actually remember the whole day as it was taking too long to get wasted

some of the stages (millenium hardcore comes to mind) only had 1 way in and 1 way out from the walkway and the bottleneck around the entrance meant I couldn't even be bothered to try and check it out even though that would have probs been my favourite stage

we probably spent the most time at the pussy lounge as there was actually room at the back to dance, and there was no queue for the bar there

the sets I did see were fun but the reason I like the big outdoor festivals is because its fun to just mooch about until you find a great set, but you couldn't really do that here

its a shame though, as the location could be amazing, but the layout was really badly thought out imo

as an aside, we were staying in Eindhoven and I only learned about the engineering works for the railway at the last minute, before this weekend I had never heard of Boxtel, and it turns out I liked it that way

ill be happy to not have to take any more bus diversions there first before I can go anywhere....

Best weekend ever.. but some minus points too.

Too few toilets for the amount of visitors. Glad men can use trees.

Inexperienced bar workers. I had to wait 45 (!) minnutes in a queue of only 5 people before me because they just randomly ignored certain parts of the queue. And if I'm half in a queue I can't really leave and search another part of the bar to try again because it just wastes more time. Then when I was first in row it still took ages so I just started banging my fists on the bar till they noticed me.

Way too much distance between stages. If you was at a nice set and wanted to visit another nice set after, you had to leave the first set 30 minutes early to be on time for the next.

(Not decibel-based but general): 18-22 year olds (TikTok generation): only talking and busy with their phones, klaplong circles and other meme dances, stupid circus costumes everywhere.

French people. I don't want to offend any Frenchies here but what the FUCK I hate the ones at hardstyle parties, and literally everyone, from dutchies to germans, from british people to americans to australians, literally everyone hated them. And rightfully so.

This seems like a lot of negativity, but there were sooo many more highs that it doesn't bother me or spoil any fun.

But organisation wise, things could be better.

Best sets for me were:

Element & Kruelty: NEVER heard such a filthy, driving, sinister and dark set. Probably the favourite set of my life.

Rebelion Overdose: Close second, what a aggressive atmosphere. Only disliked their kinda weird 'uptempo at hardstyle BPM' tracks (Earthquake-ish kicks but more distorted, just felt like a wall of distortion and bass). And visuals with eyes with needles in them and insects, meh..

Delete Tribute: needs no explanation.

Technoboy Classics
Frontliner Classics
Chris One Classics
Genox
Element solo

Also nice that there were multiple afterparties each night and the whole terrain was alive 24/7, seems like nobody slept the whole weekend lol.

All in all, epic weekend _O_

Legendary Weekend. I like this Festival so much.
But I also had bad Things to tell about the Organisation.

The new parking Ground for Paradise was way too far away from the Camping Ground. Much longer than the previous Years as it was on the other Side of the Street. We arrived at 12 30 for parking and Campsite 1 & 2 were packed as f**** as while Campsite 3 was closed. We waited until 15:30 as they finally opened Area 3.
And then.. 1 portable Pissoir for the whole Area. I wasnt wondering that people did take their piss at the Fence.
At Day 2 they removed it because it was totally wasted
At all there were too little Facilities.. especially on the Festival Terrain.
Friday was almost perfect - although it started Raining. But who cares

Saturday was overloaded with Day Visitors.
Sunday was way better with more space.
Both Endshows were legendary - and the Sound on the Stages - I have nothing more to say - perfect for me.

All in One: I will come back next year and hope the Organiserz will learn from this year.
Maybe we think about a Travel & Stay Package or an Accomodation in a Lodge or something - I'm slowly getting too old for the Camping Mess

And Yes i do Agree with the Point of French People. We had a lot as our Neighbours and they were the Main reason why our whole group cant Rest at any Time at Night because of their 24/7 Uptempo Shit :\

I'm pretty sure we'll have to get used to the next gen consumers at some point ;) one of the reasons I prefer clubs over festivals
