i was wondering what's so great with spotify ... can someone explain briefly ?

Their marketing strategy, nothing else.

I absolutely hate what is this McDonaldization of art which services like spotify brought doing to actual music.

The way I collect music is pretty messy but I'm personally fine with using the mobile app with premium when I'm travelling or going to anywhere. Not for harddance-related stuff because it's weird to me to use Spotify for that reason and because I don't listen to them in those occasions But it's just one app I use besides others (Soundcloud, Mixcloud, Bandcamp, Youtube or the mp3 files on my phone if I don't find a particular track/album/mix anywhere)

So, after Emre's link to that latest Hard Driver video I watched some M.A.N.D.Y. (yes, call me a perv, which is the only reason I watched the latter ) interview in a Mercedes. People made some comments about her Reverze set, so I looked that up .

It's awful. Even watch Villain's reaction to some of those transitions .

Now a serious question. Why on earth would a promoter book her, when she obviously can't for the love of god make a proper transition? These big events, fair enough, it's all about connections and I get it, she's kinda hot. But when it's this awful, why would you do that? From her point of view, I kinda understand it as well, who would turn down big bookings like that? But I would feel so damn ashamed after putting out something like that

Because the average hardstyle listener wouldn't know a proper transition if it took them for a meal, and promoters know it. And she's kinda hot.
