Brainkicker had some of the really best (nu-)hardstyle melodies ever:

Eardrums (Brainkicker Remix)
Make It Ruff (Brainkicker Remix)
Get The Bitch (Brainkicker Remix)

yee, all remixes, but the originals where kind lowlevel with another melody

This guy's stuff from late 00's is just so fkin lit. Some of the greatest hardstyle from that era truly.
This is one producer that truly deserved to make it big.

Kinda funny when you look back tho - when he made a collab with Noisecontrollers in 2007 it was him who was the big guy pushing this new upcommer duo by collabing with them :+ now NC is a legend and only die-hards remember Brainkicker stuff at this point.

Now that Covid-19 is affecting producers and their gigs, labels should focus up and raise their quality.

We've seen that quantity over quality isn't working on current market,
Especially if producers keep making tracks that don't live up to standards.
And if your focus has for people on the dancefloor, not to all listeners, then oh boy...

Maybe, just maybe, people will notice that quality sells more than quantity in a long term. :+

DBSTF release every month/2 months and every release reach #1 on hardstyle.com, not all their tracks are top stuff but you see all at #1 spot, so quantity over quality is working for the industry market

Yeah but their stuff is quality stuff, just more well known. Just because someone is successful does not mean that their productions are bad. Audiofreq releases a lot lately. So is his "quantity" stuff okay only because he doesn't hit number 1?

I used DBSTF as an example of how quantity works for the "market" as they are making the same track over and over and people are buying it over and over, i didnt say its okay or not, i dont even care, but if you ask i may prefer quantity because there's a lot of shit to choose from and diversity as a whole, in the case of Audiofreq i can choose or like 1/2 tracks of the whole EP but if he only made singles it would suck because maybe i wouldnt even like a single release of the year or so, quality is a subjective thing, maybe less releases in a year result in better technical quality tracks, for tastes i prefer to have a lot of stuff to choose from, but whatever, each to their own

Sound Rush is trying a little bit to hard, too many times to make these 'viral' kind of videos. It makes me sick. Iknow it's a way of interacting with your fanbase, but this is so bad and cringy.

yeah, same here.

the 10 seconds of mixing is great, but never adds energy. Maybe this is subtle, but it seems to me to just be bringing in the next track as quickly as possible, rather than that combination of two overlapping kicks which just sounds thunderous.
Does anyone still perform the overlapping mixing between tracks that long term followers are used to?
I don't know man. I listen to EHS sets, and even like older tracks from post 2009 are mixed this way at parties.

But it had me thinking: if dj's are mostly waving (basically taking the role of a conductor at a concert), then what is the role of an MC? especially as we see much more sets online.

It's not like there were no livestreams before this virus, and the MCs basically say 1 word or are just drinking beer or something.
