I know. But this isn't proto-hardstyle. It's a new kind of hardstyle, and this track exploits this new and interesting kick. It isn't trying to go back to the roots of hardstyle, but rather trying to bring in cheap points from a mainstream audience.DjVero wrote:Lol, hardstyle originated with mid-intros consisting of literally nothing but a powerful and energetic kick.wiikhulten wrote:Sounds pretty good! I dislike him simply putting that energetic kick in the mid-intro without much else going on, which might obviously be for the crowd to chant hey ho.
Anyway, I really prefer this track over Orange Heart, which was so dull. This track however is nice.

There is no mid-intro thowiikhulten wrote:Sounds pretty good! Anyway, I don't wanna risk milking that kind of reverse bass/kick and make it uninteresting, since it is a nice invention in the scene. The track preserves energy well in the climax and the melody is interesting. 6.5/10.

What is there to laugh at? I wanted to clarify my distinction cause it seemed like I needed to. To nolimits59: Ah ok. What is that part called if I got it wrong with mid-intro?The Ascendant wrote:wiikhulten wrote:I know. But this isn't proto-hardstyle. Intros are, well intros, they start after the pre-intro and the usual intro break, then comes sometime a mid intro break and a mid-intro, usually more dynamic and energic, i think the best example of this is "this is our world" from NC and Atmozwiikhulten wrote:What is there to laugh at? ok but no. What you call 'pre-intro' is an intro or mixing intro. Anything besides that is a midintro, straight till the climax break. A track can have 2 midintros as well, as in your examplenolimits59 wrote:Intros are, well intros, they start after the pre-intro and the usual intro break, then comes sometime a mid intro break and a mid-intro, usually more dynamic and energic, i think the best example of this is "this is our world" from NC and Atmozwiikhulten wrote:What is there to laugh at?
