thanks man!godspeed wrote:Yo! You should check out CamelAudio Alchemy for granular stuff. For cool and unique vocal effects i suggest Izotope Stutter Edit.

Ah, you can do this stuff with Illformed's Glitch or Sugarbytes' Effectrix by automating the stretch amount (from 0% to 100% stretch). No granular synthesis needed for thisMentalMenace wrote:thanks man!godspeed wrote:Yo! You should check out CamelAudio Alchemy for granular stuff. That might be timestretching, not granular synthesis. Your DAW should come with something for this usually; it also normally has different algorithms for more robotic and more natural sounding results. For granular effects Alchemy is a bit problematic, its Mac only nowadays, plus its a full synth. For a full synth I'd then rather look into VPS Avenger.
If youre lookin for only Granular Effects there is apart from the already mentioned Glitch for example AudioDamage Quanta, or SoundGuru the Mangle. I think industry leader is still CrusherX tho.
If its just about freezing than thats a different thing again, actually Im not sure what the effect is called - back then there was a freeware tool called Buffer Underrun which was great at it, but I think its not available in 64bit anymore? But for that Glitch will be totally sufficient.

Try to use the stretching option of your DAW, maybe some lfo, or just chop and repeat
