Livesets are never live. Just shittons of prerecorded edits. The set was crazy good thoNeon wrote:The Wildstylez set was amazing but calling it Live or even mixed is laughable! 100% pre recorded

Indeed. There is no such thing as 'live' in electronic music, unless you are someone like Jean Michel Jarre. As a metalhead and someone who grew up on rock music this whole pretending to do live music has always been cute to mepropells wrote:Livesets are never live. Just shittons of prerecorded edits. Usually with a ‘live’ set they will at least have a laptop with ableton live running, just stood at the decks for 30mins cannot be classed as suchMartz wrote:>Be active on a Hardstyle forum 2018

but agreed, live's are fuckin ridiculous in our scene. only one who comes close to live is Ophidian. Look at his performance this year at Resonate

The DJ spins a galaxy of black vinyl, for the gods that came to dance!

Thanks RidiQless and Bomberz, yes I'm ok
it was a strange experience, think I was quite close to where it was used because the majority of people only had small things like irritated nose/eyes and coughing but I was on the edge of fainting. I missed full Tweekacore set because of it so it's okay, would be worse for me if it happened during PN or something.
Anyways, this Qlimax was LIT!
Wildstylez, SZP & PN were my favourite sets. That SZP album announcement also
@propells sorry that was kinda short, next time longer
i was just too tired for Dr. Peacock, night parties are slowly becoming a bit too much for me I guess. Was trying not to fall asleep around 5:30 during B-Freqz.

Yes, that's the purpose of a warm-up set but maybe I'd pick an artist having a nice reputation both in early and classic hardstyle era to make half of the set with early and the rest with classic hardstyle tracks (to be fair haha). Luna was a perfect example.ThePrincipal wrote:Early HS/HT stuff we'd expect at an opening is over a decade old now - it's had its time (sadly and incorrectly)
It was nice variety to get the night going imo

"live" just isn't the right word.. Should be called showcase or something like that.Neon wrote:Usually with a ‘live’ set they will at least have a laptop with ableton live running, just stood at the decks for 30mins cannot be classed as suchMartz wrote:>Be active on a Hardstyle forum 2018
