Phil inFamous wrote:the stage and concept was really disappointing. Q-Dance can do this better. the planet was good, but this white things didnt fit to the theme. it sounds a bit harsh, but this years concept looks like a 1 day project. even the light setup wasnt Qlimax like.

BUT: sets & sound were mostly really great, Da Tweekaz & DBSTF pushed the atmosphere - much respect for these guys.
I told you guys that with less than a week from start of prep to the day of it maybe underwhelming :+ something must have came up because they didn't bother with a curtain or any other elements besides the basic laser array and the sphere behind the booth. The sphere was very nice to see in videos, same kind of arrays as the 2008 stage but would have been made up for the shortcomings had they added a laser array on most of the angles of it like they did with 2008 for some crazy laserblasts. Probably soent too much money last year, so next year may be a bigger better stage.

None of them played in 2015 If I'm not mistaken
Nope Issac intro-ed
Even then the intro sets are always the same remakes of nu-era tracks and a bunch of semi new stuff. If they want Early then book Pavo or Pila to do the opening for some right proper variety.

Same artists and same tracks every fucking year. Maybe they should start letting those that actually have released shit the same year play.

PN was reeeally good, best set imo. Rest were avarege -> shit. Qlimax works really good for event virgins. But there are seriously a looooot better events out there.

Light and stage was cool and all, maybe less cool than last year but whatever, i go mainly for the music. The place were overpacked. The stage probably took up 1-2000 audience spots because it went outwards on the floor
I think we all know the answer.. Explosions!

Stage could have been better indeed. Overall it was a good edition. Best sets of the night was Frequencerz & Phuture Noize.
What really is a huge let down in the last years and especially at this night is the mixing. I miss the days with proper intro& outro mixing. I mean nearly all tracks you only hear break & climax this kills so much energy it's really annoying. Some tracks are just mixed in for 40-50 seconds or so this is ridiculous

I didnt have this problem, I myself even thought there were less people because I had way more space and less trouble getting into the crowd than ever.

Well, artists wanna play as many tracks in 60min as possible. So they skip the 2nd climax and sometimes even the Intro. But I agree, it's IMO ok to Mix like that a few times in a set, but nearly every time like NC & Atmoz did with no idea behind it thus disturbing the musical flow just to get more Tracks in is annoying. At least prepare your set then a little and try to not match the tracks mixed

Imo the sets were really good overall.

Chat was pretty fun.

Best thing was the stable Q-Dance Stream - for once thank you Q-Dance.
Pretty relaxed at home listening through whole qlimax.

F the Industry fk yes :salute:

EDIT: That G4H set is fucking energic fml. Dope shit. Makes N-Vitral set quite bad if you compare.
Be a pioneer, don't chase the tail. Don't follow the path.

THIS! i told this at least 4 years ago..and i think that we have to do a poll for qdance..because you cant dance 20 second and then breaking..than mix quickly to another track because you havent time etc. this is really annoying and ruin the moment (especially with hardcore). i miss the qlimax set till 2011/2012. seriously we have to notice that. also this kind of thing put the audience to face the different feelings between listening a full track with headphones and dancing it with a fucking short mixing style
QLMX 11',12',13',14',16',18',19',23' | HARDBASS 12',16' | QBASE 13' | XQLUSIVE LEGENDS 14' | DEDIQATED 20' | ASOT1000 23' | DQ1 23'

Exactly this! I noticed it especially during the Sub Zero Project set. At times it was awful. Huge build up -> diving into the climax -> cutting it halway -> stop the track -> silence -> build up of new track -> repeat.

About the sound issue, in the middle there was almost no bass but in the middle back on the right side it was great. So you actually had to find your spot.

Btw the taxi drivers are fucking criminals. They wanted 40 euros for 3.6km! Netherlands, don't you have laws? :p

Besides all of this it was a fantastic night!
Make Hardstyle great again
