I'm gonna test a diet for a month

Post by hardstyleprem1um »

I didn't have a clue where to post this so i post it here. Feel free to move it.

Don't think anybody cares about this, but here goes :

I am starting my weigh loss plan tomorrow. I have gained apprx 10 kg over the summer and it's time to get in shape.
I have tested and tried countless diets over the years, and i have come up with a mix of several diet methods recently. I lift weights daily and i have a solid frame of mass (no bragging :p ),and want to be leaner than i am right now.
And i am gonna see how much fat/weight i can loose in a month.

So my plan to loose as much fat as possible in a month goes like this :

-I am gonna do the "Intermittent Fasting" where i fast for 16 hours, and eat the other 8.
-When i am gonna break the fast/start eating again after 16 hours, then my first meal will be a non carb meal to prevent the spike of insulin (Insulin makes it hard to burn fat)
- And my lunch will be carb-free to keep the insulin still low.
- And before the last 1-2 hours of my "eating-window", then i will be having all my carbs for the day to refuel my muscles etc.

So as you can see, my diet is a mix of fasting and not eating carbs in the morning and for lunch for maximum fat loss.
I have tried the 16 hour fast before with great results, but now i am gonna take it a little further.
Plus i am also gonna do 30-40 min cardio 2 hours before my carb meal for maximum fatburning :)

Gonna update this topic every week to check my progress ;)

Have you heared about Carb Backloading by John Kiefer? It's basicly the same concept you're doing. Exept he does specificly time his carb intake post workout. Maybe this gives you some more inspiration.

I wish you success with your diet!

Good luck man! I've read about this and is very interesting if you'd ask me.
But since I'm a heavy weight lifter whom's goal is to progress mass and gain weight every month, this isn't for me.
I'm trying my own method of just drinking just plain and simple water and avoiding unhealthy food and added sugars.

But keep this topic up to date and I would love to check it out and see your progress.
Maybe any before and after pictures or updates pictures? :naughty:

I've read about the fasting thing too, it's becoming popular. Just.. how the fuck can you have the endurance to not eat 16h or some do 24h even. Da fuuuq. I'd see everything as edible after 24h. I arrived in Greece for holiday a few hrs later than expected, and ate my last stuff around 17:00 but it wasn't really satisfying so basically was still hungry. The supermarkets were closed and I didn't have anything and knew I had to wait till the next day cuz everything else in the area was closed aswell. I literally started getting agressive abusive thoughts about everything, next morning when I ate at like 11:00 in the morning eating some regular bread felt like being on top of the world and I entered some state of dopamine filled trance

My fasting is from 6 PM to 10 AM, or from 4 PM to 8 AM. I usually save my biggest meals 1 hour before my "eating window" is up, and by doing it this way my stomach is fuller much longer and i can go longer. I have tested with moderate meals spread out over those 8 hours and i got hungry before the 16 hour mark.

And if i am feeling very hungry, then i can allow myself to have ex 2-3 hard boiled eggs (zero carbs), it does spike insulin some but not any huge amounts. :)

All calories count no matter what way you go at it and have to be counted. Lift some weights increase protein cut carbs, keep carbs eaten to brown

It all failed, and now i'm even fatter

But i did test out different diets, and the best one for me was low carb diet. I have never lost so much weight as when i did low carb diet. I lost 7 kg in under a month (with zero cardio). My nutrition was 50 grams of carb (max), and the rest was fat and protein. My daily calorie intake was 1500-1800 kcal.
I'm gonne give this diet a new try after the holidays because there is no point in trying to diet right before christmas.
