[04/02/2017] Hard Bass [NL]
Re: [04/02/2017] Hard Bass [NL]
Wow the red team was so much heavy.
HardBass is better and louder than Qlimax?

Yeah, the only reason for this 'harder, faster, noisier' stuff is because it's a hype, and a lot of people like it.joeykeys wrote:I was about to reply to your comment hahaEmre wrote:Edit: I'll just not leave my opinion here incase I start a war with some rawsoldiers.
I think its fucking epic and so do lots of others so thats why they do it
But it has nothing to do with Hardstyle, just my opinion. Raw is fun and all but this 165+ BPM and as 'hard' as possible 'rule', has nothing to do w/ the essence of this genre anymore.
Yeah you are right. Where is the line gonna be drawn at how much bpm and distortion. I still think it's awesome though haha but I tottaly get were you're coming from.Emre wrote:Yeah, the only reason for this 'harder, faster, noisier' stuff is because it's a hype, and a lot of people like it.joeykeys wrote:I was about to reply to your comment hahaEmre wrote:Edit: I'll just not leave my opinion here incase I start a war with some rawsoldiers.

Tbh I can actually understand why people like it alot (I do like raw sometimes and also 'harderfasterkilldestroy' stuff, but this seems to be the new 'standard' for Hardstyle and I completely dislike that. I do like hard music and agressive stuff too, but the Raw HS scene forces it WAY too much imo. Stupid live-acts bringing nothing to the scene (Apart from a few good ones), HC-kicks, and nowadays, also HC bpm. Add stupid 'raw for life' quotes and sayings that all the soldiers can scream aloud. Most wannabe gangster attitude subgenre ever.joeykeys wrote:Yeah you are right. Where is the line gonna be drawn at how much bpm and distortion. Did you go to HB Emre? If you did you clearly could see and feel what the crowd wanted. It's time to move on. When Yellow started it clearly was a better atmosphere and it totally exploded on Red. It's obvious what most people want. Pure raw events sell out faster than ever before and Euphoric events doesnt even sell out. Personally i love all the subgenres of HS but on such big events the energy is way way better on the "wannabe gangster" shit.
I think we all know the answer.. Explosions!
You say 'euphoric events don't sell out', but the only party with ONLY euphoric names is probably Euphoria. Euphoric doesn't even get enough chance/room when every mainstage on every festival is 75% raw names. HS festivals (also the ones who were perfectly balanced in the past) are becoming more and more raw, because there are more and more rawstyle soldiers who scream at every anticlimax and sit at fences to kickrolldrum themselves into a seizure. Sure, there's more 'energy' but I have no idea how people see it as a positive development. There's nothing wrong with the atmosphere on euphoric stages. There are more than enough people dancing. Tbh I never experienced a dull crowd on an euphoric stage. It's just because there's more kickrolldrumming, fence-sitting, shirtless guys going so hard on every anticlimax like it's their last day of their life, that makes it SEEM like the atmosphere in euphoric events isn't good, just because they don't act like they're part of some army waving their Raw4Life flags while dancing their brains out.propells wrote:Did you go to HB Emre? I'm sorry you feel that way Emre. The atmosphere on xtra raw is not for everyone, but you should try to move on. HB is actually "perfectly" balanced right now with 4 hours (5 with isaac) euphoric/hs, which actually feels like a way to long warmup, until there's 4 hours rawphoric/raw where the crowd goes insane.
