Old school lead kinda vibe?

Post by Tragedy1191 »

I kinda realized the older hardstyle leads (soundwise) are pretty different from the past few years. Not sure if it's just because the quality, since a lot of the quality is low in older hardstyle, but sounds like they filter some of the highs out (compared to today). Anybody have an idea or tip?

A good lead example is the song "My Story" by DJ Klonez

Sounds like a regular detuned saw synth to me :) But if you are going for that oldschool sound, try to not use as many voices per osc and use a more high resonance filter type :)
