I think most people know what its like to feel depressed and what a ruthless affliction it can be.
Some people can hide it very well which can make it hard to help them.
That said, some people would be happy to talk about it if you ask them and that can do wonders to help people.

Never hesitate to ask a friend or family member if they're doing ok.
