Re: Frontliner - The Sample Pack

Let me have a piece of the cake here:

I'm a regular guy, I have a job. I also happen to be very interested in producing music. Since pretty much everything I produce will eventually be released for free, I thought I might actually use this pack.

Now, I can make kicks, all though not any masterpieces if I'm brutally honest. This pack would actually help a LOT when it comes to actually make a kick myself. I see the kick-samples mostly as references. Sure, I will straight up use a kick every now and then. It's really useful to have different kinds of kicks to use for a small idea etc.

Like... let's say I have this amazing melo in my head, I launch FL, and make something out of this melo. The thing is, I have 2 "decent" kicks to work with, but not all melodies will fit with a crunchy kick or a soft kick or whatever. A lot of melodies I've come up with over the last 2-3 years have been just laying around, mainly because I can't really get it to "work" with the kicks I already have.

Again, I do music just as a fun hobby, not really seeing myself making money producing music, not even in 2 years time or whatever. I focus more on my job than my music. I have 1 paid release, and 2 paid remixes. And the only paid release under my artist name is not even hardstyle, it's hard bass (don't judge, it's a really fun genre to play around with :+) )

This could make a lot of my projects become a reality, I hope so, at least. And boost myself to start making kicks again. It's been like 1,5 years since I made a kick myself from scratch.

Auda out.

You're comparison with tools is wrong... if you had to make the tools from scratch it would mean you would code your own DAW / VST etc. Those are the tools that are there for anyone to use, the end result should be your own creation made with those tools.
So what is a tool made by another tool, the code can't be considered as a tool ? But btw you don't get the image, when I meant a tool, it could have been an idea or a concept by example, wich are basically the same, the point is, why loose your time if the thing is already done and useable, it can be a concept, an idea or a tool, it doesn't matter.

Use them, combine them, get a creative result.

RaVaGe has the most accurate point here imo.

Giving hardstyle kicks to hardstyle producers is like giving a sportsman steriods. Its a shortcut, an easy way, and we all know that easy way is wrong way.

lol why? cos moral? end>means

if someone is giving you the shortcut then whats wrong about using it, you did nothing illegal. you stole nothing.
it will push producers to stop being so technical and actually make music that isnt solely focused on overrated kicks. as everyone will have cool kicks, producers will have to take creativity to the next level if they want to stand out.

in the end, its not a game changer because everyone rips stuff since day one, some are smart rippers, some are too obvious.

Indeed. Music is a creative thing, hardstyle shouldn't be about working to have the best sounds but it should be about creating music for yourself and others to enjoy

If you're expecting others to enjoy your music then of course you should be "working to have the best sounds"...
