Lush 101 masterrace
I think u can do more with GrossBeat.
But u don't have teh very helpful ocilloscpe behind.
And grossbeat is not that cheap 30€ is a nice price point. But i think earlyer version was olny 20 or 25€
BTW anyone here has the new izotope ozone? I bet my ass it's awesome.

Just to throw it out there.
You guys should check out Slate Digital Plugins. I own VMR VBC and VCC. They're incredible, the algorithms that generate non linear harmonics and phase distortion like the original analogue gear(Maybe not 1:1 but close enough to where you can barely differentiate). They're pretty much all I use for mixing.

I've been using Xenobioz Lucid vsti lately, and I've got to say it's a pretty sweet synth. As well as there other synths.
Also they are free! So that is a plus.

What are the best VSTs to make (dark) pads? I already use Albino3 which is specifically for pads and others like z3ta, sylenth etc., but are there any other good synths? Are some better or i just have to tweak to get a sound that will scary you?
An example is the first minute of this song:

Absynth 5 could work for that. You can also look up some sample librabies that work with Kontakt.
