I think I might chuck in a mix this year Also there should be a ban on software mixes imo (Traktor etc) I know it's not an actual competition but it is kinda weak and doesn't take any effort.

You two could use *cough*MixMeister*cough* for such things, I think there's nothing wrong with that (and you shouldn't be out of the game because of that!)

I think it's just fun, not an actual competition as you say, but think about people who just don't buy a "package", because they're not actual DJs and don't want to be, just try to show what they really like in such things like Country Battle. If the opportunity is given, why not to use the advantage of it? Exclusion for this time is kinda disrespectful, though I share your opinion, as it wouldn't be a real mix. But it's not made for any festivals or so (and I say this, because I don't want to miss it, too, haha)

I'm not sure if the organizers will make any selection like if they found a mix kinda badly made, they reject to put it on the show.
