Btw, could someone please clearly explain the difference amongst the following genres, if possible with (recent) examples?

• Dutch House
• Progressive (House? -> That one recording at Hardwell On Air says "The best of Tech House, Progressive and Electro".. so is it "Progressive" or "Progressive House", or do both exist ?!)
• Electro House
• Big Room House (doesn't exist on wikipedia)
• whatever other genre is easy to confuse with these

Hardwell On Air is only house. So its Progressive House and Electro House. Further more if somebody is talking about electro nowadays its mostly electro house.

Progessive House: sounds more melodic, uplifting and has more reverb. Stuff like Avicii does

Electro House: less reverb/dry, heavier basslines. has a lot of subgenres which sound totally different sometimes (for example: complextro, and big room kinda too)

Big Room House: Big Room House is really new term its kinda a subgenre of electro house. Has drops with soft distorted kick drums, heavy reverb and contains progressive melodies most of the time.

Its all quiet confusing since there are tracks which can be considered as two stylez. If you go on beatport eg you wont find the term Big Room House. There are big room tracks that are considered as Progressive House and others that are considered as Electro House. How they make these decisions: I dont know^^
Electro House is also a really long term since it contains Big Room, Complextro and many other subgenres. So on beatport a track "Skism & Excision - sexism (Far Too Loud Remix)" is considered as Electro House but sounds totally different than "Martin Garrix & Firebeatz - Helicopter" for example which is also considered as Electro House.
But if people think about electro house nowadays they thing about Big Room. That is the mainstream genre at the moment. Just look at the Beatport top 10 and you will know

It did have its own page, but for some stupid reason it was deleted. Then it was put as a section at the Progressive house page (click here), but once again some (perhaps) stupid hater removed it from there... I'll re-add it soon.
