Don't know anything about piano notes, any suggestions?

Okay guys so basically we all have that part of us were we get stuck at something and mine is when it comes to creating melodies...

its not the creative part that traps me because i have all these unique ideas and what not but it is just the fact that i have no experience or professional teachings with piano and what chords are ect...

I have a good ear when it comes to this stuff i can identify what sounds good together and what not but the thing is i want to learn how to play different types of moods and feelings cause so far all my stuff always comes out to be sounding mysterious lol

so my quesiton is what would you guys recommend to me that would help me advance a lot... piano lessons?

To be honest piano lessons aren't essential for making melodies. I have no experience with piano or any theory at all yet melodies are one of my strong points. I can't tell you how to get different styles for sure but for me my mood greatly effects the feel of the melody that I make. For example, if I'm sad then I make melancholic or dreamy melodies however if I'm feeling happy then I'll make summery melodies. Something else that affects it for me is the weather. When it's sunny I'll make happy melodies and when it's raining they'll be darker.
Something you could try is listening to music in the style of melody that you want to make before you make your own melody. These should influence the melody that you make however, when I try this mine often end up sounding very similar to others.

Okay i understand what you are saying but like im trying to understand what keys sound good together and like what keys i could use to create a certain type of feeling, i guess the only thing for that would be just practice and work on melodies trying different things and learn on my own lol

because when i create a melody i feel like it has no emotion in it, i absolutely have no clue when it is possible to use black keys on the piano because whenever i do it sounds odd lol

That's why I started to remake the already-made hardstyle melodies. I think it also could help you to see and understand the structure of each of them and this "experience" is really useful to create your own melodies. Just keep trying and no need to worry about anything if you've failed for the first times

Ah right. I can't help much with keys because as I said before, I have no knowledge of any theory so unfortunately I can't help much there.
You can do some research on the different keys though to see which give off certain emotions but ultimately I think it comes down to practise.
Oh another way that I find works for getting different styles of melodies, not necessarily with emotion, is by using a completely different synth. So the melodies I make when using a saw are different to when I use a pulse and so on. That's not exactly what you were looking for help wise but it's something that you can try out!

I'd have to disagree, theory is one of the most important parts of production...I've worked with a few producers in collabs and they knew nothing about music theory and it was baad and they had no idea.

All of those lessons will be beneficial for you in one way or another. Sure its boring, I had to complete the entire site for a class I took, but it definitely helps.

I'd suggest you to take some piano lessons. I was taking piano lessons for a year (without any passion back then), but it helps me now with the basic stuff. And you'll have a teacher to ask anything you want.

Learn about chords, keys and scales, and you're pretty much good to go for a while.
