The biggest problem of the limiter in the standard FL file, for the people who don't know how it works, is that it gives a boost before limiting it ;)
If you want to use the limiter, make sure you know how it works!

1. Eq the low frequencies and most common frequencies in the lead.
2. Put some stereo on your lead
3. Eq the low frequencies and mids in the kickbass.
4. Use limiter as hard clipper on your channels.
5. Tune the volume on all channels (without the master channel) to prevent clipping.
6. ...
7. Profit
