Q dance is going to be touring in America
Re: Q dance is going to be touring in America
Hardcore is not big and has a very small audience... we are talking about hardstyle/hard dance here, why even bring up endymion? He also played closing set, when everyone is leaving the show at 5am trying to beat the 3 hour traffic out of the venue if you stay till the end.
You tried to argue that america is somehow going to ruin hardstyle, when it was already that way before american exposure. It will NEVER be mainstream here like house/dubstep music, it simply doesn't click with the average american. Even if the hardstyle festivals begin to draw 10,000+ here it will be the most dedicated underground scene out of any electronic music. Hardstyle is one of the last genres to have a lot of following in the rave/underground scene here and there's a reason for that, its not designed for your average american even with the popstyle remixes. The drive of the music does not appease everyone

The hardstyle scene in america is begging for more
If you listen to the hardstyle coming out in the US/Canada you'll notice not a lot of it is incredibly poppy. All of the popstyle like wildstylez, brennan heart, etc, is european. If anything I'd say a lot of the N american stuff coming out these days is sounding more and more like the stuff coming out of italy.

A lot of American Hardstyle fans are still envying the days of early nustyle, since they searched for Hardstyle to escape from Pop House.wanderer wrote:The hardstyle scene in america is begging for more

I agree. Those were the days. I rarely find any tracks that are as good as late 2006 - 2010. (By rarely i mean like 1 in 20)Reverse Ghost wrote:A lot of American Hardstyle fans are still envying the days of early nustyle, since they searched for Hardstyle to escape from Pop House.wanderer wrote:The hardstyle scene in america is begging for more

I was at q-dance stage at edc 2012 for all 3 days for every single minute. Multiple times they would cut out the mixer volume to get the crowd to sing a long and it was the most awkward silence every time. Then after excessive dongs someone finally played a high energy reverse bass and you could just hear the crowd erupt in a roar of WHOOOOOOOOO's and FUCKYEAAAAAAAAAAAAAA's. Every single time.
Thats what i am talking about, it may be because i am a huge fan of early stuff that it is the reverse basslines that i am addicted too..... there are some producers like frontliner who can actually create a dongy kick that is unique and attractive... other than that they all sound the samex10...... but i do agree on how us americans find the sing along very awkward.... lol i mean when im with my GF and the sing alongs start... it makes me feel weird... so i skip it hahaha i dont know if im the only one
This! I've been once in the last 7 years ... luckily it was this yearMarkove wrote:I'm excited for this.![]()
I've been waiting for an opportunity, along with many other Americans, to see a few of my favorites without the expense of crossing the pond. Crossing such a large pond isn't cheap, you know. Most of us can only do so once a year, if at all.

Hoping it will come semi-close to Ohio.
In my mind, one annual Q-Dance show in the USA, one in Canada. That would be enough without crossing that "sellout" point, and still showcasing some amazing talent.
